Nutmeg is a warm, handsome boy with a rich red and brown tuxedo coat, soft pink feet, and a charming butterfly nose. Taller than most of his littermates, he has an elegant, upright presence that belies his playful, easygoing nature. The kind of dog who makes wherever he is feel a little more alive.

Health & Care
Veterinary check-up completed — all puppies have been seen by a vet here in St. Croix and received a clean bill of health.
Vaccinated — all puppies have received their first DHPP shot, providing vital protection against four core diseases:
D — Distemper
Targets: A severe, often fatal viral illness affecting the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems.
Highly contagious and one of the most serious canine diseases.
H — Hepatitis (Adenovirus)
Targets: Infectious canine hepatitis caused by adenovirus type 1, affecting the liver, kidneys, and eyes.
Can cause sudden death in severe cases.
P — Parvovirus
Targets: A highly contagious virus causing severe vomiting, bloody diarrhea, and potentially fatal dehydration.
Especially dangerous in young puppies — this vaccine is critical.
P — Parainfluenza
Targets: A contagious respiratory virus and a common contributor to kennel cough.
Helps protect against respiratory illness in social environments.
Deworming is handled — Matcha was dewormed while nursing, and the puppies have completed their deworming regiment. They are covered for the first few months.
The four dewormers administered:
Pyrantel Pamoate
Targets: Roundworms & hookworms
One of the safest and most frequently used dewormers for puppies.
Fenbendazole
Targets: Roundworms, hookworms, whipworms & some tapeworms
Widely regarded as very safe; commonly used in shelter and breeding environments.
Praziquantel
Targets: Tapeworms (Dipylidium & Taenia species)
The primary treatment for tapeworms.
Ivermectin
Targets: Heartworm prevention; also roundworms, hookworms & mites at higher doses
Provides broad coverage including external parasites.
Flea & tick treatment completed — all puppies have been treated for fleas and ticks by our vet here in St. Croix.
We recommend scheduling a follow-up vet visit shortly after your puppy arrives home to establish care with your local veterinarian.
