About Us

A purposeful lineage — built to be tougher, smarter, and more capable than anything the designer dog world has seen before.

Fluffy Bullies STX is a purpose-driven breeding program based on the island of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. Our goal is simple but ambitious: to develop the Fluffy Bully — a robust, compact, low-maintenance companion that raises the bar on what a designer dog can be.

The Fluffy Bully was conceived as a direct answer to the shortcomings of popular brachycephalic breeds like the French Bulldog. We love the compact size, the personality, the loyalty — but we wanted something more: a dog with real respiratory capability, the physical resilience to thrive outdoors in heat and humidity, an independent spirit that doesn't require constant coddling, and a coat that doesn't blanket your furniture in fur. That dog didn't exist. So we set out to build it.

The Fluffy Bully Blueprint

Micro Bully foundation — Compact, muscular build — the structure and confidence of a Bully in a manageable, apartment-friendly size.
Fluffy, low-shedding coat — Curly and plush rather than coarse — courtesy of Poodle and Havanese genetics that dramatically reduce shedding and dander.
Outdoor capable — Unlike Frenchies, these pups can handle heat, movement, and adventure without labored breathing or overheating. Built for island life.
Better temperament — Guardian instinct from the Maremma line, sociability from the Havanese, and trainable intelligence from the Poodle — a calmer, more confident dog than a standard Bully.
Robust health — Cross-breed vigor from four distinct lineages produces a genetically diverse dog with fewer of the structural health issues that plague purebred Bullies and Frenchies.
Low maintenance — No daily brushing wars, no incessant shedding, no extreme grooming requirements. A clean, manageable coat for real life.

We are not a commercial kennel. We are a husband and wife who love dogs and animals deeply — a small family farm operation, one litter at a time. Every decision we make is intentional. We approach everything with a kaizen mindset: a constant, quiet pursuit of improvement in how we breed, raise, feed, and care for our animals.

Our home in St. Croix is also a place of refuge. Over the years we have taken in animals who needed shelter — some of our dogs and cats are rescues, given a second chance on our little corner of the island. Love for animals doesn't stop at the puppies we breed. It extends to every creature that crosses our path.

This first litter — eleven puppies born from Matcha, our 55-lb Exotic Bully Mix dam, and Carter, a 12-lb curly-coated Havanese Poodle sire — is the foundation of that vision. Every puppy has received their first DHPP vaccination, a comprehensive deworming regiment, and veterinary clearance here in St. Croix.

This feeding philosophy became the inspiration for Cinder K9 Mitochondrial Cuisine — our forthcoming canine nutrition line from Crucian Farms. Raising this litter taught us that vitality starts at the cellular level: raw enzymes, fermented probiotics, collagen-rich broths, and omega-3s all feed the mitochondria — the engines that power every cell in a dog's body. Cinder K9 takes everything we learned nourishing these eleven puppies and distills it into a mitochondria-first cuisine, crafted on our farm in St. Croix, so every dog can be fed the way ours are.

This is Matcha's one and only litter. There will not be another.
